NEW YEAR
Time sure does fly when your having fun. I know I have said it many times but here it is again, I am beyond grateful, and humbled by the support Clover Cottage has been shown this year. Cheryl, Zoey and I love visiting with everyone when you come in. Sometimes too much, and we forget we are at work,????. but we do have lots of fun here at work. There is so much talent out there that we have seen, and if I am truthful it sometimes intimidates me. Who am I to have opened a Quilt store, I don't know it all, I am constantly asking Zoey or Cheryl to figure something for me or talking out a design with the customer or going to an app that figures it out for me.
So much to learn. I will never know it all but am thankful for the tips and knowledge that has been given to me so far.
We finished inventory this week and we are all glad that next December is a long way off. That was a fun week. NOT... Lots of groans and ???? and calls to support about better ways of doing it. Hopefully we will remember it all for next year. In the process of counting I decided we have way to much. So we are having a sale, the entire store is 25% off (not quilters select and Gypsy Quilter) Were going to be phasing out the batiks so they are 30% off and we have added lots of bolts to our discount room and they are 50% off.
We are going to be running this sale through the 7th of January then the prices will go back.
Our next online sale is on the 19th of January.
Were going to be continuing to have 1 sale every month from here on out.
We have been asked to vend for a retreat up at the Okoboji Bible Camp in February (20th-26th) so we will be closed for a whole week. I invite you to come shop up there if you need anything because we will literally be taking the whole store with us. We are looking forward to this opportunity and to get Clover Cottage on the map for our online business as well as the travelers coming through Emmetsburg.
January 23rd is our next sewcial. If you haven't joined it is $10.00 for the year. We meet 1x a month and we do show and tell we have done blocks, exchanges and just get together and chat. We have 2 different times that we meet 10:00 - 11:00am. or 6:30-7:30. We offer you 10% off that day if you come to sewcial. We really have a nice time just visiting and seeing all of the beautiful quilts and things everyone has made.
Well, who all has goals set for the new year?? Mine is to get organized. Right?? It's a good thought, I may even make it 3 mos in before it all falls apart. But seriously Zoey and I have so many ideas so stay tuned. We are going to be posting more often and keeping up with what is happening at the store, and if there are classes, we are going to get a calendar for them onto the website so that anyone can look them up.
These are just a few of the smaller things that we need to get back at doing.
