November

Well here we are,  another month has flown by.  I can hardly believe that it is Novemeber , and that we are 7 days in.  I sure hope that everyone is loving this weather that we are having,  even if it is dark at 5 now with the daylight savings.

We are gearing up to vend again.  This time we are in Clear Lake, at the North Iowa Quilters One Stop Shopping Spree.  It is at the Best Western on I35/US18 Exit 194  November 10--10-5 and Saturday the 11th, 10-4. There are going to be 13 vendors at this location so grab some friends and come on over to check it all out. I know I am excited just to see the other vendors, their displays,  to visit with them and check out what everyone is carying and if there is something else that we need to have in the store.  Feel free to always let us know if there is anything you want us to carry, we will try our best to get it.

We are participating in an  Holiday Hop.  We are thrilled that we have been asked to join in the fun of these. It 's November 29 through December 1st 9-5 and Saturday December 2nd 9-4.  We have EXTENDED HOURS for this HOP.  There are 8 shops participating with each store giving a complimentary gift,   you could also win a chance at 1 of 8 $50.00 certificates.  1 Lucky winner will recieve the grand prize... A Featherweight Sewing Machine.   The shops that are participating in this hop are:

MICHELLE'S QUILTING & SEWING SHOP--Blue Earth MN,   THE HUMBLE HEART QUILT SHOP--Wells MN,                                      RIVER CITY QUILTS--Mankato MN,     SEWING SEEDS QUILT CO --New Ulm, MN,    THE THIMBLE BOX-- NEW ULM, MN                OLD ALLEY QUILT SHOP-- Sherburn, MN,          CLOVER COTTAGE-- Emmetsburg, and  THE QUILTED STEEPLE--Lone Rock.          We look forward to having our friends from the north come see us.

Other news in the store is, we are waiting patiently, NOT for our chenille it to not be on back order,  I can't teach the class without it.   At this point I think those of you that are interested in the class to just come in and tell me the colors that you are using so we can make sure to get the correct chenille in.

Many of you know that our Zoey is going to be only working on Monday's  and 1 Saturday a month for us.  She has taken a position at ILCC and will be staying plenty busy with that job, here, and her long arming buisness.  You can continue to drop off your quilts and pick them up at the store when they are done.  We wish her the best.

With us Vending this weekend we will be closed on Saturday.  Sorry for any inconvienence.

We are going to have a Black Friday sale. Hours will be 9-5 some exclusions will apply, but most of store will be on sale.                                                         NOTIONS 20% off, All fabric is 25% off and any Holiday Fabrics are 30%off

HOLIDAY HOURS: Thanksgiving CLOSED   FRIDAY 24th 9-5   Saturday 25th CLOSED

Sewcial will be held on the 27th at 10-11a.m. or 6:30-7:30p.m.  please let us know which time you are coming so we can have seating for everyone.   We want to invite those that are curious to come and see what it is like.  I want to say Thank you to all the sewers that helped make the Halloween bags for the children from 1st grade and down.  Just shy of 200 bags were sewn.  The schools and the children loved them, we have pictures of them holding their bags.  We are working on blocks currently and I think we have enough for 1 quilt and maybe a second one.  These will go to the Burn camp this summer.  If there is an organization we can help with please let us know.

Wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving with safe travels for all that are traveling.

That is all until next time.

From all of us at Clover Cottage.
