HELLO HELLO. It has been awhile,
Well here we are and it is Mid June, and the summer is going by so fast. We are in the All Iowa Shop Hop currently, and have had lots of hoppers. I can't express my gratitude enough for those that travel to each store and the many of them that purchase at them all, even if it is a small thing, it counts, So many stores do not do the AISH but it is a great way for them to get to our area of Iowa, so I thank you all for taking the time to come to our community, see my store, maybe even have lunch here. We apprciate you.. I have had people from Illinois, Minnesota, Florida, and Arizona. I am sure there are more but it is wonderful to visit with all of you .
We have been having lots of things come in lately and there is still more to come. It is never ending of opening boxes. I will continue to keep you updated with what has come in. I am currently trying to navigate and re-do the website. It is not user friendly and I just don't like the look, but hopefully we will get it better. I am trying to make it a better shopping site. with each catagory seperate, zippers, rulers , cuddle.. you see what I am saying... so many catagories, but we will get there.
ok here we go with what is coming up:
We have news! I have touched on it on facebook but if you haven't heard we are having a FEATHERWEIGHT CLASS. WHEN: August 4th, 2026. Cheryl Hughes will be coming from St. Louis. She has attended numerous Featherweight Retreats along with classes and retreats from the Henry's. For those of you that don't know, The Henry's own and operate the Featherweight Shop. In this class she will cover: Oiling & Lubricating, Tension Adjustment, Settting the tension controller, Electrical componemnts, Cleaning and Polishing, Touching on Case restoration along with a Q & A after each section. You will need to bring a working Featherweight machine 221 or 222 for this class. A Lunch will be provided for you because this will be an all day class starting at 8:30a.m.--4:00p.m. Cheryl will be here a day prior if you have a Featherweight that needs serviced, she will have time to check it out. We have also an account with The featherweight shop and our store will soon be carrying all the featherweight products that you might need for the class or in the future. If you are interested in this class we are taking RSVP's. Please call the store or stop in and register.
Now the next big thing we have going on is on on Saturday, October 24th -Sunday the 25th it is a ROUND ROBIN BUS TRIP! For those of you that don't know what this is, (I didn't, I only know round robin brackets from wrestling... ) it is 8 stores all the way from West Branch, Ia to Lacross, WI This is going to be Amazing. Each store will have their own tour bus, For Clover Cottage We will leave Emmetsburg at 8:00a.m. on the 24th from there you will travel to Iowa Falls, Manchester, West Branch,and Dubuque where you will have supper at 6:15ish and then spend the night. Sunday morning you will depart at 8:00a.m. and travel to Prarie Du Chien, WI, Lacross, WI, Hayward, MN, then back to the Clover Cottage. A Lunch will be provided for you each day and a supper on Saturday night. The price is $250.00 per person & all rooms are DBL occupancy. There is generally 1-1.5hrs in between stops and 1-1.5 hours at each stop. This will be a great trip and the best part is it is all taken care of for you. If this is somethng that interests you, we are taking RSVP's for this also. Stop in the store or call us and we will get you all taken care of. I am so excited for this opportunity and experience as a shop. We already have some signed up so don't wait, we are limited for seating.
